FedEx and Ryder Cup's - The Good The Bad and The Ugly!

Wow the golf that we have seen over the past couple of weeks has been nothing short of amazing! Starting with the culmination of the year long FedEx Cup, what a resounding success this has become. Frankly I was not that enamored with it when it started, remember that Tiger Woods didn't even bother playing in one of the rounds in the playoffs in the very first it was played, and he still won it!

Ryder Cup is a golf prize that is donated by Samuel Ryder and it is awarded biennially during the event Ryder Cup Matches that's played between United State of American and Europe teams. This event is jointly managed by PGA European Tour and PGA of America. The matches are held once in two years where the venues will alternate between courses in Europe and America. After the play off at Waste Management Phoenix Open, the top five Ryder cup American players are Steve Stricker, Dustin Johnson, Lucas Glover, Stewart Cink and Hunter Mahan.

Musings of the RBC Canadian Open Championship Golf Tournament on the PGA Golf Tour

I probably didn't watch 10 minutes of the Canadian Open, I didn't care about the outcome. This tournament for some reason is considered minor league by the PGA tour players, verified by the number of top ranked players in the field. Of course Tiger wasn't entered and only 2 of the top 10 and 5 of the top 20 in the FedEx Cup standings were in the field.

Update: The FedEx Cup is over for this year with Jim Furyk the winner of the 10 million dollar first prize. Do to my lack of interest in the outcome I only watched a few minutes of day two and the last hour of the final round. I didn't miss the excitement of Jim's fist pump and hugging Fluff his caddy, the most emotion Furyk has expressed since procuring his drivers license.

2011 Masters Tournament Futures

PGA Tour: Season Recap

I suppose that after Bart Bryant's three wins in 15 months, capped by the Tour Championship romp last week, I'll have to start paying more attention to the soft-spoken Texan with the groovy mustache. But what a fitting way to end the 2005 golf season. With Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh and Retief Goosen in the field, along with most of the rest of the top thirty players in the world, it was Bryant who walked away with the season-ending win in Atlanta, a tournament that has more and more prestige and will have even more by 2007 when it becomes a sort of Super Bowl of golf.

I recently heard from a wife who said in part: "I was more than devastated the first time I found out about my husband's affair. I knew the woman that he cheated with so this made it particularly hard. But we hung in there and tried to do everything possible to save the marriage. He insisted that the other woman meant nothing to him and I thought we had recovered. Fast forward eight months later. I found out that he picked right back up with the same woman and started seeing her again. I told my husband he obviously must love this woman because he can't seem to let her go. He insists that he doesn't and says he feelings for her are 'complicated' but are not love. He says love is what he feels for me. I am beside myself. How can he cheat with this woman twice (and probably still hasn't let her go) and then claim not to love her? Because as silly as this sounds, I could handle the cheating better if I believed he didn't love her. But how can I possible believe this?" I'll explore this more below.

Wives can feel as if they have lost many things after their husband's affair. Often you feel as if you've lost a little bit of your self esteem, your confidence in your marriage and your husband, and your belief that you are perceptive enough to know what's going on. Another loss that many wives describe is predictability in their relationship. Many describe a marriage that "is just different" than the one that existed before the affair. I often hear comments like: "we used to have such an easy rapport and relationship but now things are so strained and awkward." Or "our marriage used to be filled with laughter and endless conversation but now you could hear a pin drop when we're together." One more example is "we used to be very affectionate to one another. Now, we rarely touch one another anymore. It seems like we're both afraid of doing the wrong thing or of facing rejection. Our marriage is so different. Will things ever be the same again? Because I want my old life back. I don't like this new one." I'll try to address these concerns in the following article.
