Do You Forgive Steve Bartman?
by
Rob F Cenname
On October 14, 2003 the Chicago Cubs were playing the Florida Marlins in the postseason. The Cubs were on the brink of winning the game and thought they were about to get out of the eighth inning. The Marlins second baseman Luis Castillo hit a foul ball down the left field line that looked like it could of been caught by left fielder Moises Alou for the Cubs.

Bartman - The Dark Knight of Cubs History
by
Bryan S McGraw
At one of the Cubs darkest times, an overeager fan took the blame for 100 years of loss and agony. Though a dedicated fan, a split second decision has turned into several years of hardship and turned his love for his team into his greatest burden. Why Bartman? Maybe he was the only man who could take this burden on his shoulders.

What's the Real Curse in Chicago?
by
Jimmy Boyd
I'm not sure about the murky goat story, but the Chicago Cubs have had their fair share of unfortunate events, especially in the form of quality players leaving and going on to hall of fame careers elsewhere or great players coming to the Cubs organization only to disappoint.

How The Cubs Can End The World Series Drought
by
Gary W Grant
It's safe to say that the Chicago Cubs are one of the famous teams in all of sports due to the fact that they have lost for over a century. The last time the Cubs have actually won a World Series title was in 1908. For those of you who do not want to do the math, that is 103 years.

The Soul of a Chicago Sports Fan
by
Brian Gaynor
Growing up a Chicago sports fan is a humbling addiction. I have been hooked from the day that my dad first took the family to a White Sox game at the old Comiskey Park, when my young sister, who was used to watching the games on a black and white television with snowy UHF reception, uttered, "Look, the game's in color!"

The Billy Goat Is Not The Real Chicago Cubs Curse
by
Jon D Sofen
The Chicago Cubs are cursed, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. But it's not what you might think. Baseball fans know all about the alleged Billy Goat curse that is preventing the Cubbies from winning a World Series. This is so far fetched, though I do like the fact that we are blaming goats for failures instead of human beings. That said, the real curse is actually the Chicago Cubs themselves and their inability to put together a front office of competent decision makers.
