Allofmp3 Two Years on - The Parallels With the Pirate Bay Case
by
Tex Porter
As the case against The Pirate Bay drags through the Swedish courts, we are reminded of similar actions against allofmp3.com a couple of years ago. Although the business models of both sites were polls apart, alleged copyright infringement was/is cited against both sites, which offer low cost / free access to mp3 downloads. Allofmp3 offered low cost downloads under an interpretation of Russian law, The Pirate Bay is essentially a search engine for downloaders to locate files on other user's computers. The music industry is 'outraged', and using it's full force to close down these sites. But why has this situation come about, and can the music industry regain control?

The Pirates of Tarutao
by
Hamish Thoburn
Nowadays the islands off Southern Thailand are stunning tourist havens with thousands of sun kissed bodies sprawled across the beaches covered in litres of coconut scented sun cream. The islands, apparently preserved as National Park, lie in the province of Satun and have a capital Ko Lipe, which has been tactfully omitted from park status, allowing cabanas and chalets to spring up on beaches with alluring names like "sunrise" and "sunset".

Paragliding for the First Time Olu Deniz Turkey 2006
by
Peter Cannon
I had just paid for my paragliding jump and stood nervously in the Turkish sunshine as the words of the holiday rep came back to haunt me. "Don't book a paraglide jump, there's already been a fatality and the seasons only a week old." I push those thoughts to the back of my mind assuring myself that I've wanted to do this for ages and I'm not going to chicken out now.

by
Jason Butler
Arrival: Twenty minutes after arriving on the dive boat whilst hoping the seasick tablet would work, I took a nervous meander around the floating arena of strangers, foreigners and braggers that I found myself on. Well, this guy seemed confident; he knew exactly what he was talking about, which was undoubtedly reassuring, as he was the Instructor who was to take me on my first dive.
