Hearts, Cricket, Migraines, Rugby, Soccer World Cup and MANDELA
by
Steven Dubee
Sports is what South Africans love. Soccer, Rugby or Cricket, which is the biggest; but don't think that it is all we can do. We are also at the medical forefront. The first heart transplant was done by a South African, Doctor Chris Barnard, at the Grootte Schuur Hospital. Now a days people fly to South Africa for the best treatment of migraines. Then there is Nelson mandela. Need I say more?

In 1951, France toured Australasia for the first time led by their legendary fullback Puig Aubert. Their flamboyant style of rugby attracted large crowds and the first Test match was the first "all ticket" international to be staged at the Sydney Cricket Ground with a crowd of over 60,000. It took place on 11th June 1951 at the Sydney Cricket Ground and the score was Australia 15 v France 26. The first Rugby League World Cup was organized by the French RL under Paul Barriere and took place in France in 1954.

David Williams - Rugby Leagues Cover Boy
by
Sam Chalmers
When it comes to raw talent and magnetic charisma, the Australia Rugby League does not have a dearth of clear-cut examples. David Williams, in particular, was voted by Outsports Readers as the hottest athlete in the world and won the King of the Hardwood competition in 2009.

Rugby League or Rugby Union
by
John Casson
Stemming from the 19th century, rugby was born at a boarding school in the town of Rugby, Warwickshire. Yet since around the same time a split was made in allegiances between what is now called rugby league and rugby union. While both games share the same origin they are vastly different in how they are played.

Rugby League - Four Nations - Does England Have a Chance This Time?
by
Matthew Severs
Well the squad for the upcoming 4 nations rugby league tournament has been announced and it has to be said that England coach Tony Smith has made some pretty bold and brave decisions in selecting his squad for this tournament. Personally I think he is right in what he has done as otherwise we would have had the same problems that the squad had in the last disastrous and quite frankly embarrassing world cup.
