Arsenal vs Liverpool

Arsenal vs Liverpool
Premier League Preview: Arsenal Vs Liverpool
by
Suresh Iyer
Sunday's game assumes great significance for both teams. Arsenal would seek all of their remaining games, to keep their slender title hopes alive. Similarly, Liverpool, who are currently in 6th place, would want to use the remaining games to best advantage, and try to wrest a European qualification. Expect the Reds to fight hard in a game that will give Arsenal the considerable advantage of playing at home.

EPL 2011-12: Arsenal Vs Liverpool Match Time
by
Suresh Iyer
It's match time at the Emirates as Liverpool gets set to take on Arsenal on Saturday, August 20, in what promises to be an intriguing match between two teams in transition. While Liverpool will hope to continue on the upswing that began when Dalglish took the reins from Hodgson last season, Arsenal will hope to learn to cope with life after Fabregas and Nasri. The last time these two teams met was in April, at the Emirates, a match that extended to 12 minutes of injury time. Van Persie scored off a 98th minute penalty and three points from the game would have kept Arsneal's title dreams alive. As it transpired, Liverpool had a 102nd minute equaliser, also a penalty, taken by Kuyt. The draw meant a virtual end to the Gunners' hopes of lifting the Premier League trophy, their last title that they won back in 2005.

Arsenal 1 Liverpool 1
by
Dennis Neri
This was more absorbing than entertaining with both sides doing more passing of the ball than actual attacking play. Arsenal, yet again showed they are not capable of holding on to a lead as they just concede cheap goals for a so called big team. They went ahead when Liverpool conceded yet again from a cross, this time a corner kick as their zonal marking failed them with Emmanuel Adebayor left completely alone to put his side ahead.

The Arsenal Team of the Decade (1997-2007)
by
Andrew Weber
When Arsene Wenger took charge of the Arsenal Football Club in October 2006 he was relatively unknown in the English football community. Since his arrival, however, Wenger has transformed Arsenal into a successful, multi-national side with a strong emphasis on stylish, attacking football. As such I am happy to present, playing in Wenger's favoured 4-4-2 formation, the Arsenal Team of the Decade.

Billy Liddell - Liverpool FC Legend
by
Steve Goodwin
Billy Liddell is believed by many Liverpool fans to be the best player of his generation. Liddell scored 228 goals for the club in 534 appearances, a record that probably would have been bettered if it wasn't for the war years. Billy Liddell was a true Liverpool legend...

Morgan Bailey
When it comes to rich tradition in English Football, not many clubs can compete with the record, fan base and classy elegance associated with Arsenal. Agreed they haven't won a major trophy in the last 5 years or so, but Gunners' fans believe their time has come.

Liverpool Or Manchester United?
by
Simon J Lewis
They are the two most successful teams in the history of English football. Their games are watched the world over and programmes from them are collectors items. But what do the statistics tell us about their respective merits - and what do you think? Football is after all the most subjective of topics.

Champions League Quarterfinals Liverpool 4 Arsenal 2
by
Dennis Neri
It was a magnificent game of football from start to end but the pace and power of Liverpool prevailed in the end. Arsenal were irresistible in the beginning and they rightly took the lead through Abou Diaby following some wonderful play involving Alex Hleb, Mathieu Flamini, Cesc Fabregas, Emmanuel Adebayor and Emmanuel Eboue as when Diaby finally got a pass from Hleb and hit a shot that beat Beppe Reina on his near side.
